چکیده
Objective: Acute lower respiratory tract infections are leading cause of morbidity and mortality in under five children developing countries. Hence presence study was undertaken to various modifiable risk factor for acute infection children. Study Design: Data collected from a observational eighty Lower Respiratory Tract Infection (ALRTI) cases age group 2 month 5 year fulfilling WHO criteria pneumonia factor. Eighty healthy control same also interrogated. Result: The significant were parental illiteracy, low socioeconomic status, overcrowding, partial immunization, pre lacteal feed, early weaning, malnutrition, smoking, history family rickets. Conclusion: present has identified factors which can be tackled by effective education community.

Background and aim: Thrombocytosis is a marker of inflammatory reaction with varied clinical conditions. The significance of thrombocytosis in relation to severity of the disease in under-five children with lower respiratory tract infection was evaluated. Method: It was a prospective observational study conducted during 12 months on 230 children within ages, 2 to 59 months, hospitalized for low...
متن کاملClinical Value of Toll Like Receptor 4 and CD14 in Children with Acute Lower Respiratory Tract Infection
Toll like receptors (TLRs) with a myeloid differentiation antigen (CD14) recognize and bind various structures from invading microbes and then trigger cell activation. They initiate a variety of effectors' functions, including cytokine secretion, proliferation, co-stimulation or phagocyte maturation. The aim of this study was to evaluate Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and CD14 expression in childr...

In troduc tion For a better understanding of the pathogenic mechanismof infectious diseases it is important to know the molecular basis of how the host responds to microbial pathogens and eliminates them. Recent advances in immunology and molecular biology have led to the discovery of a large number of cytokines and cell surface molecules, which allows us to understand such pathogenic mechanism...
